One of my most memorable, healing experiences @dharana_shillim
Memories can be weighty, but these pictures evoke so much light and optimism. The capacity for change and assimilating new knowledge is within all of us.
Just say: Perhaps this year? This moment?
Oh, and I miss yoga. A few more weeks in the airboot cast before I can stretch my bones.
I asked for an exposure portion of red peppers and then assumed a waiting posture.
(But as you know, imposter status is instantly decipherable)
I can’t believe we have parented from Tbilisi to Hong Kong, Mumbai to Nelson via Singapore. This caravan cannot stop: it’s in the blood. The next destination shimmers. Packed suitcases stand sentinel at the basement door. The danger of the familiar is averted.
Signed copy alert 🚨
I was touched to be asked to sign copies at the local #Coles bookstore in Chahko – Mika mall here in #Nelson when I walked (hobbled) in to buy my January reading list. You can contact them for a copy 💥 Sidenote: I love seeing #ClosetotheBone in the window display with a ‘local author’ sticker.
@doubledayca
Pythia. Authoritative oracle.
It’s all going just as I hoped. The girls are shedding their urban mall rat skins and turning into forest nymphs.

@powerbyyou taking the sting out of resolution keeping ✌️and working it in an air boot 👢
May you find a trainer who simultaneously makes you laugh, sweat, reflect, grunt and want to show up at the gym on your days off.
Never happened before #AliPopoff
I miss art walks with my tribe.

Posted @withregram • @christine.chitnis I wanted to share this with you because I found it reflected the way I’m feeling in this moment:
“America has always had competing stories. I believe in the one we saw (Tuesday) in Georgia, and it’s imperative for that story to persevere and ultimately prevail.
-Ben Rhodes
There are always competing stories about America. We are a country of violence against indigenous peoples, slavery, civil war, Jim Crow, children in cages, white supremacy, and racist violence BUT we are also a country of the Civil Rights Act, Kamala Harris, the Voting Rights Act, MLK Jr., and John Lewis. I think that politics, and the policies we enact, are about choosing between these competing stories. @raphaelwarnock said it so eloquently in his victory speech:
“The other day, because this is America, the 82-year-old hands that used to pick someone else’s cotton, went to the polls and picked her youngest son to be a US Senator. So I come before you tonight as a man who knows that the improbable journey that led me to this place in this historic moment in America, could only happen here. We were told we couldn’t win this election, but tonight we proved that with hope, hard work and the people by our side, anything is possible.”
I’m sorry to bombard you with one more post about #closetothebone
Many of you lovely insta-folks are still asking, so the very good folks @otterbooksinc called in yet another shipment (third I think) from my publisher @doubledayca. I showered, strapped on my air boot and got to work with a sharpie. It almost felt like a real book appearance, but I had to stop mumbling to my imaginary audience at a point. Appreciation for all your support, dear readers, and if you want a personalised copy please email [email protected]. We must find creative solutions and poetry in our everyday endeavours.
Deep bows from me.
Oh yes- whomever sent me the bouquet of mystic poetry – thank you. My friends @otterbooksinc handed them to me.

Here’s a fun, little montage I mixed up of @lisaraniray from various #RadoWatch appearances and photo shoots.

I’ve been a long time admirer of your oeuvre @_gauri_gill_ even more so after this affecting series.

In the next weeks I will be sharing details drawn out of the seven works from Fields of Sight that Rajeshji and I spent most of 2019 working on. Five works are currently on view as part of Contemporary Excavations in London, at Frith Street Gallery. Sadly, London has been locked down through most of the exhibition so far. The first work, A Seed’s Journey, now belongs to the Berkeley Art Museum (BAMPFA). It is about the long journey made by a seed from its’ first home in the fields where it is tended to by the kisans or farmers with such close attention and care, onto local godowns, mandis, food processing plants, supermarkets and fancy urban kitchens. It concerns the invaluable labor of peasants, and the interdependence of human existence. In solidarity with the farmers currently laying siege at Delhi’s borders, from Punjab as well as Maharashtra, near Rajeshji’s home.
This year is off to a good start. When Roger says he’s gonna dive in, he means it ✌️
PS: is that a onesie or a Salmo Dinner jacket you’re wearing Roger?
Posted @withregram • @rogermooking Thanks @lisaraniray for sending me your book. Gonna dive in soon. ❤️

On this day, a year ago, we saw art. We touched each other lightly on the shoulder when we were delighted. We walked the city slowly, not yet knowing our Sunday rituals would be altered for what seems like forever.

I am in the business of eating books these days. I don’t always begin from the beginning but I chew each page eight times before swallowing. I am a serial killer of stories. I leave no evidence behind.
This is my latest victim.
Read along and become the most interesting person in the room?
