A few of my favorite moments, mostly off camera, from Episode 1. A lot of the joy was getting to be in Iceland. The constant daylight, the hot springs, the landscapes, the kind people. Getting gooed up to be “spat out” by Molly was hilarious and crazy cold, haha. We all got to be in the hot spring to grab that quick moment of Book and Burnham escaping. 😄 And the fight was a trip. We were against the clock that day at this gorgeous beach, so the fantastic @davidajala and I had to dig deep and get it done. So much fun. It took a lot out of us but it was so much fun. This whole episode was inspiring to watch come together, brilliantly directed by @olatundeo (per usual), and beautifully written by @alexkurtzmanofficial @michelleparadise1 and Jenny Lumet. 🖤 Wanna binge? Our family is now complete and we are feeling the LOVE. So we’re doing holiday cards for the first time ever! And it’s gonna be easy to share this little token of our love thanks to @simplytoimpress ♥️ They made it so simple and stress-free to create our custom cards. Really glad I found them because the designs are amazing, the papers and printing are a cut above, and they have great options. So happy with how it turned out! What do you think, we did good yea? This is my Uncle. We called him Uncle Man. Today was his birthday. He left us just a few weeks ago. We’re all utterly devastated. This man was one of the most truly Christ-like people I have ever known. How blessed I was to grow up with his example. All my life, at so many points of my life, his example would come to me. “What would Uncle do? What would Uncle advise? How does he love so effortlessly?” Did I ever actually tell him that? Never before have I understood what it means to honor someone’s memory like I do now. I will remember you as I reach for Love Uncle Man. You helped shape me, even if you didn’t know all the ways. I pray you know my full heart now. I celebrate and honor you today and always. I love you. 🙏🏽♥️
