History is made. This tweet has a special relevance for me as my wife and I prepare to welcome a young girl into the world. She won’t be American and so won’t be standing for National office there, but I am so insanely glad she will get to live in this world of possibilites.

22 years ago, on the set of THE TRENCH, directed by the amazing @williamboydnovelist At 11am, on the 11th of November, we observed 2 minutes of silence in tribute to those unbelievably brave people who lost their lives fighting for our country. My gratitude and humility was especially fierce that particular Remembrance Day, as we actors stood in WW1 Army uniform in a warm studio set that had been built to LOOK LIKE a trench. I cannot imagine the immense courage of the heros who went through those wars. Lest we forget.
