I want to draw your attention to the #HathrasRape incident- While you are scrolling your feed in the comfort of your home like I am, a family is locked up in their house & is being traumatised by the Govt in Uttar Pradesh. Their crime? Their daughter was raped. The dalit woman was brutally raped by 4 upper caste men in Hathras, UP. The woman died a few days later. The family was denied permission to take her body home. The police cremated the body at 2:30am without the family’s permission or their knowing. If this wasn’t bad enough , the victim’s family is now locked up and their phones confiscated. Neither the media or any opposition leader is allowed to meet them. The police have barricaded the entry to the victim’s house, the village entrance and the highway. Leaders who have attempted to meet the family have been arrested, beaten and cases filed against them. What wrong did the family do? Why are they being traumatised & harassed like losing their daughter was not traumatising enough. Clear violation of human rights.
Which rule book is the UP govt following? Modi cover up/distraction from failure rule book?
To top it all, the police deny all of this and the rape itself. The victim told the police she was raped. There are videos of the cremation by the police, videos of the family pleading to take the body home and videos of the family locked up at their home. Who are they fooling? Does this sound like a democracy to you? This is not the country our forefathers and mothers envisioned for us when they sacrificed their lives for India’s freedom. It’s our duty to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of our country.
The family needs you, needs you to speak up. You would be doing a great disservice to our country by not speaking up.
Keeping it real.

Living life one wink at a time!
Thank you for the video and the memories @ruchirachaturvedi @missfurioso @bairagi_ashish
I turned vegetarian at the start of this year and it’s the best decision I’ve made. You know how we are constantly told, you need protein from meat to build muscle etc etc I don’t think that’s true. I’m now contemplating going vegan. It’s hard- I love, love icecream. I know there are alternatives.. I just have to make up my mind. 🙈🤞🏽🤞🏽
Happy Dussehra everybody! May there always be light! Kamakshi comes from the conjunction of three words – Ka, Ma & Aksh. Ka means Saraswati, Ma means Lakshmi and Aksh means eyes. She whose eyes are Saraswati & Lakshmi (knowledge, wisdom, enlightenment)
She represents calmness.
May we all be Kamakshi 🙂 ♥️

The delusion that you could hold on
I took a picture of myself and I began to edit it & this is what it looks like. Specks. A speck. Not even. If I edited further I’d be left with blank space/nothing. Which is who I truly am.
It’s the best selfie 🙂
Try it, I bet we aren’t different ♥️
I’m curious to know what you think. Is a red rose red in the dark?
Let me know!

In India we say Annadata Sukhi Bhava or Annadata Sukhino Bhavantu which is a Sanskrit shloka translates to -May the provider of the food be happy.
Sadly, today, the farmers of our country, the providers of our food are unhappy. They are fighting against the farm laws that take away their rights. It’s our duty to stand by them in their time of difficulty.
I’m tagging some superwomen I know to post a picture of their favourite grain/legumes/vegetable/fruit and share a recipe of their comfort food using the hashtag #Happinessforfarmers #ರೈತರಹಕ್ಕು
