I have been a strong believer in using products made in our very own country and supporting those small scale and cottage industries and have been following this practise for years now. Believe me once you start exploring them you’ll be surprised how many amazing Indian brands there are that offer superior quality and are also pocket friendly.
When the knowledge of ayurveda comes from our country why do we need to turn to the west and pick up products that sometimes use the same science. And this I try to extend not just to skin care products but also to clothes and other essential items. Choosing organic cotton adds food in the homes of millions of our farmers and supports our economy. And at the same time it lasts longer than your fast fashion. It’s high time we start going back to the basics and start making mindful choices and move towards sustainability.
I understand that there is a strong influence from social media and even celebrities to follow a trend but if it isn’t adding grace to the environment and your soul it’s not worth it. So let’s revisit our habits, get more minimalistic and go local 🙏
