‘Rani of Kurupam’
I am so delighted to be a part of a project that recreated the paintings of one of the greatest artists ever known, Raja Ravi Varma.
This posthumous portrait of the Rani was commissioned by the Raja of Kurupam who took very keenly to heart, the death of his young wife.
I thank the team for thinking of me for this particular portrait. I’ve seen how passionate they were about this project and the effort they put to in to bring this to life!

My Dodda (grandmother). A pillar of strength and epitome of beauty (inside out) to all of her eight children. We loved her dearly. I cannot even remotely compare myself to her, but some said I resembled her in this photo. She was newly married when this was taken. Pergadthi Rai, just 19.
