Hilary Swank Instagram – The 12th annual National Day of Unplugging starts at sundown on March 5th and ends at sundown on March 6th. · During this 24 hour period, thousands of people around the world will be doing fun and meaningful things away from technology. · There is no right or wrong way to celebrate #NationalDayOfUnplugging Whether you go tech-free for 1 hour or the full 24 hours, you are a part of it. · One way I’m choosing to unplug is to Crochet For A Cause — making a “welcome home” sign for someone moving out of homelessness and into housing. · The letters we are crocheting will be part of a “welcome home” sign that will be gifted to young people who have found a safe places to live at the Covenant House and LA Family Housing. · Covenant House builds a bridge to hope for young people facing homelessness and survivors of trafficking through unconditional love, absolute respect, and relentless support. Their doors are open 24/7 in 31 cities across six countries and their high-quality programs are designed to empower young people to rise and overcome adversity, today and in the future.
