🦋When I was cast as Rochelle in the Craft I was a little on the fence about the racism storyline -especially as the character had originally been white & bulimic…🦋
💥👁💥suppose I was worried the audience world think my blackness was ‘my problem’..rather than ‘racism is the problem’💥👁💥
💥unfortunately I see that storyline was as relevant then as it is now in 2020💥
🦋 It also made Rochelle an individual & a fully realized 3D character w/ her own agenda & storyline, not just a cog or appendage placed to further another (white) characters story line.
