Jan 16, 2016. ‘Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’ did not have any distributors or buyers. Showed the trailer to Mani sir ahead of its online release. He said, “Looks interesting. I’m curious to watch the film. All the best”. Those were the words which kept me going against all the odds. Thank you for inspiring an entire generation of film makers sir. Forever grateful for ‘Iruvar’ & ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’. Happy birthday sir❤️ .. Thank you for being a mentor. We announced the film on June 18th, 2017 (wow) yet it feels like yesterday. Since the day it got conceived the thought of introducing this baby to the world has not gone down one bit. Over the years I have learnt that life is all about pushing forward instead of regretting the past. It has gotten to a point where I laugh with all the jokes. Not gonna lie, few are genuinely funny. I wake up everyday hoping for a miracle, hoping for a call which says, “We have a release date”. Since our line of work is all about fantasies I do believe in fairy tales. I still believe that one day everything will be in a way we expected it to be. The day will come because the creator in me refuses to give up. The entire team owns this film & we will cross the line. Promise😀🎬❤️

You know that you are obsessed with cinema when this day feels more special than your birthday! Looking back, we were just a bunch of kids with wild ambitions. There were times when life threw a curve ball & completely broke us but little did we know that it was actually moulding us for the bigger picture ahead. It was nothing but our genuine love for cinema which kept us going. Words can’t possibly describe the happiness we had after we managed to cross the finishing line against all the odds. As a team we live for these moments. In spite of the rocky terrain the passion is still intact & has only increased multi folds. Grateful for the past & looking forward to the surprises in the future🎬❤️

It was the year 2015. I updated a status of Facebook, “Assistant directors required for a feature film. Interested people please inbox me”. Nobody believed in the 21yr old college dropout so I received just 5 or 6 profiles. Only God knows how or why I picked these 2 randomly but we instantly bonded because of our mutual love towards cinema. From assistant directors in D16 to associate directors in D43, these two have always been by my side through all the ups & downs. A ‘Thank you’ might sound too formal. So I’ll say the thing I always tell them, “Seekiram first padam pannunga da so that you can escape my torture” @sandeeepkg @samaaniyan 😁🎬❤️
