Tune in to @ncisla this Sunday night (11/15) — to see if my acting ability changes when my hair is shorter… like 7 inches shorter. Apparently, Navy Petty Officer Second Class Michael Cole couldn’t just rock that bandana life this time around #ncisla @myk_watford @llcoolj @juanriedinger @calebcastille

Mandatory Star Wagon selfie…
Real talk, in this COVID world, I feel more safe on this set than I have anywhere else. It’s impressive the measures they’re taking to ensure the safety of all involved. Kudos.
Spoiler Alert: Navy Petty Officer Second Class Michael Cole says “I do” to Callen.

I’ve always been proud to be from my “small town” of 1,228 people ❤️❤️. Honored to have been asked to do an Alumni Q&A. Link to the article is below. #hometown #roots #averillpark

Averill Park Central School District
Chris Lamica (@chrislamica) went from competing for the Averill Park CSD Warriors to playing college and professional basketball. After an injury forced him to the sidelines, he became a teacher before venturing into the world of acting, appearing on hit television shows such as NCIS: Los Angeles, The Rookie, S.W.A.T., and more.
Chris recently took some time to participate in an alumni Q&A. Read the interview at the link in our bio or here: https://www.averillpark.k12.ny.us/news-archive-2020-2021/4794-alumni-q-a-chris-lamica
I don’t post much pre-acting, but I was asked recently why I love basketball so much… I struggled to concisely and clearly explain why. When logging the countless hours growing up it was the creativity, the freedom, self-expression, and desire to compete, win, and “prove something” (after all, I was cut from my middle school basketball team, twice, and was told I was “too small and should try another sport where I wouldn’t get hurt”) that drove me. I wanted to get so good that no one could ever take away something I loved by saying I wasn’t good enough. I was obsessed.
As my basketball career started, it turned into something completely different. I loved touring the country and putting smiles on people’s faces and (hopefully) inspiring others that no matter the odds, adversity, or doubters, that with relentless work and focus, they too could achieve ANYTHING their heart desired… basketball or otherwise.
Though it was only a few years, it culminated in a “jersey retirement” and some beautiful memories, that as a kid I could only have dreamed of.

Spinning a basketball for over an hour of filming definitely took it’s toll on my finger 🤣🤣
… and my brother @kenny_lamica says “acting is only saying words in front of a camera” 😎
