Can I confess? The past few months I’ve dealt with a lot of fear. But today especially. I’ve been running from fear for years from really pursuing my dream in the creative industry. I’m afraid of looking like a fool or failing in front of everyone. People pleaser party of 1. But last year I decided to fly in the face of fear and step out into the vision I’ve felt called to. This photo is from a recent trip for that vision. I’m excited to share more about it all soon. But it can be easy to doubt your vision or that it will ever come to pass. Even though I’m doing all of this afraid, I still have to face fear daily. . TODAY, I was hearing the lies that I should give up pursuing my dreams or work harder and manipulate to make it happen faster and on my time schedule. All of this was bearing down on me. It’s a paralyzing and apathetic feeling. If fear were a person it would be that anxious friend who tells you to not take a risk because all the possible negative outcomes. . DON’T LISTEN TO FEAR TODAY. It only lies to you. Listen to God. All of this heaviness broke today once I started to remember who I was and who God made me to be. Don’t give up today friend. Your life is valuable. Your vision is accurate. Keep creating the future. I pray a unexplainable peace that can only come from Jesus would sweep over you right now. Just remember when everything is unknown anything is possible. Get your hopes up. God’s plan for you is good friend. . So here I am. Imperfect and reporting from the middle of the battle with fear. Happy Earth Day! A few years ago I picked up a new hobby. Watercoloring isn’t something I’m necessarily good at, but I don’t need to be. In my life I’ve had a lot passions but not enough hobbies. I’m not trying to make money doing this or a name for myself. But I have found so much inspiration in challenging myself in a new creative way. Working in this medium is way more difficult than I imagined, but it helps me connect with God. I mostly paint landscapes right now. I’ve debated sharing about this for awhile because I didn’t want to spoil it. But I’m happy with these imperfect results. It feels good to create for fun and just for me. I know all you’ve wanted is to be back up in the clouds. And even that sounds painful right now. Dreaming feels hopeless and this isolation is still a present reality. But don’t lose heart. You haven’t missed it. You’re right on time. What you’re experiencing is refining you and your dreams. Rest, remain resolute and don’t shrink the dream because there are people who need what you’ve been put on this earth to create. The on-ramp to this new season is empathy, perseverance and life. And the light will turn green. Be patient. I know the toll has been steep, but the tollway you’re about to get on is wide open. Don’t fear this new, unknown space and don’t fill it too quickly.
