As our little girl is stepping into the largely dreaded “terrible twos”, the reader in me began exploring ways to create the best environment for Janki within our home. That’s when I stumbled upon #montessoriparenting and @gosh.world owned and run by super mom @gayatri2012
In about 2 weeks of placing the order, “THE BUDDY” came home.
Buddy is a ‘Learning Tower’ which a child can use from the age of 1.5 till 5 years.
After a day or two, Janki began to love stepping up and down her new Buddy – we were glad 🙂
Making breakfast till now was never a smooth affair cos Janki usually chooses this time to be a little extra clingy. But now she gladly jumps onto our Buddy “to help Amma make breakfast.”
What’s even better is that she eats her egg or fruit I slyly leave for her on the slab- happily while I am cooking away. Works well for both of us.
A few days of using the Buddy consistently to wash hands has now become a habit. She loves coming home after her playtime, pushing the Buddy into the bathroom (with some help, of course) and stepping on it to wash her hands. I love that she loves it, and we aren’t doing all the circus in the bathroom to get our hands washed anymore.
The Buddy also comes with a detachable rod/gate that I am going to keep on for many more months (she finds it comfortable to hold onto the rod and climb, and I feel she is safe with the gate to hold her in )
So, thank you, @gosh.world, for making your bespoke pieces of furniture in our country too, and helping parents like us start our journey into Montessori Parenting .
Also, the Buddy is compact, which is perfect for us at home.
So parents, maybe you should give this a try too .

We’ve hardly used plastic diapers for Janki, and one of the most significant reasons we were able to do that is @superbottoms . As you all know, Janki has mostly been cloth diapered in them. But now that we have started toilet training her, I have picked up their Padded Underwear too.
The picture you see above has Janki wearing their padded underwear, which I love because,
1) They hold up to 1 pee and prevent pee puddles and reduce the spoiling of my sofas and beds.
2) These trainer pants are also a boon since children feel the wetness and start to communicate (oh so cutely) that they’ve peed. I believe this is the first step to toilet training.
3) It’s very breathable and comfortable for children which again is much needed
