I briefly worked on the movie “The Mitchells vs the Machines” when I was between projects.I was given this layout (by the amazing @lindseyolivares )to do a lighting study. The director Mike Rianda did not want the soft, glowing animated feature look but a more handheld camera feeling.This was before the team created their gorgeous signature style. The movie is releasing on Netflix tomorrow and I can’t wait to watch it! #themitchellsvsthemachines

I remember going to the fish market with my dad as a kid. It was an assault to the senses with alternating intense smell of fish ,ground spices and other produce. The floor was always wet with puddles of fish water that splashed on the legs as we walked. My elementary school was surrounded by wooded area and abandoned houses taken over by vegetation. One of the houses had a beautiful baby angel statue with red eyes in its yard. We were sure the house was haunted and a ghost lived in that baby statue. Since then, the neighborhood has totally changed and there are apartment complexes surrounding my school. I wonder where the baby angel statue is today…
