$Briana Renee Instagram – This is our Maverick by definition ~ {rebel with a good heart, who beats to his own drum} 💙 Currently he is watching Ugly Dolls – which he calls “yellow green pink” – with all of his relaxing essentials. 😅😜♥️ Everyday he learns, and teaches us, something new. The journey has been bumpy, stressful at times, but he is a beautiful ray of light and smiles (and those eyes melt my heart, every time)! He is brilliant, resilient, resourceful, and very musically inclined. I am so grateful that all of our kids have stayed relatively healthy through this pandemic, but I haven’t always handled Maverick’s high-pitched screaming stims well at all. I’ve yelled, I’ve cried, I’ve closed myself in the closet just to have 3-5 minutes of quiet. We got the diagnosis coming up on 1 year ago, and then 2 months later – shutdown! This year I don’t have a resolution, but rather a change of mindset. I will focus on gratitude and positivity, and take all the quiet closet breaks I need without feeling guilty lol.
