Somehow this exquisitely written book conveys both. I’m halfway through and I know I have never personally physically been to some of the mentioned locations (if not most), but somehow I’m able to visualize every single word as if it were a memory I had forgotten. I wish I could properly articulate encouraging phrases to convince others to read this book. The best I can do is just to simply recommend it…highly recommend Close to the Bone by Lisa Ray. Side note, if you do decide to give it a read (trust me, you won’t regret it)…find a local independently owned bookstore and see if they have it. Support local shops. Get a great book. Win!
