Mandalynn Carlson Instagram – Just wanted to share something Patrick and I have really been focusing on and that is gratitude.
.
A couple days ago, Patrick’s apartment was broken into and $6000 worth of things were stolen. And it’s so easy to be angry and upset and think woe is me.
.
But instead, we tried to frame it from a place of gratitude and I know it sounds crazy but that’s what we do.
.
⭐️We’re grateful nobody was home to get hurt.
⭐️We’re grateful our cat is okay and isn’t too traumatized from the experience.
⭐️We’re grateful we have been made aware of future security threats and in our next apartment hunt, we will have a much better idea of what we are looking for in terms of security.
⭐️We’re grateful that even though they took our cats ashes, we will always have him in our hearts and memories (but seriously, why in the world would someone do that)
⭐️We’re grateful his insurance will cover almost all of the stolen property.
⭐️We’re grateful we have each other and our family who cares for us.

2021 is the year of gratitude for us and I hope it will be for you also.
