Melissanthi Mahut Instagram – Greece is thankfully waking up to the reality of a new era where physical and verbal violence in the workplace will no longer be tolerated. In the theatre world- our “safe space” for vulnerability and expression- the cases of bullying, verbal, physical, not to mention sexual abuse that actors are subjected to, both during their formulative years at Drama Schools and in the field, and all “in the name of Art” is something that we have all been “tolerant”of and silent about for much too long. We thank the women that spoke up. We thank the men patiently waiting their turn to speak. We thank those that were given strength and hope so that they can tell their story so we can finally put an end to this sad and pathetic power game.
