Michael Kenneth Williams Instagram – I went to Tulsa in August 2019 to work on @bodybrokersfilm at the same time I was working on Lovecraft County.
I went to the community where our Ancestors used to live and all that was left were the stairs to the homes that used to be there.
I then went and stood on the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and Archer Street AKA Black Wall Street which stretched all the way to Pine Street, it was there I met @riccowright03 A fourth generation Tulsan and he owns an art gallery called @bws.gallery
We played chess and listened to music as we spoke about our Ancestors, our legacy and our community.
I met a brother and made a friend that day🖤.
