The pitbull ban in Denver stands. Yesterday was very sad and is another step back for pitbull types. These dogs are so inherently GOOD. And now more will continue to suffer because of @mayorhancock cruel and misguided decision. There is so much misinformation out there and this ban reinforces wrong and harmful stereotypes about these dogs. Remy is such a kind gentle and well behaved dog and it is so sad to me to see entire cities in this country have banned her for no other reason than what her face looks like. I shamefully used to believe a lot of the stereotypes about pit bulls before I spent time with them, adopted one, and researched about the breed. So educate. Educate. Educate. Go to a local shelter meet the dogs yourself. Donate. Volunteer. Foster. Talk about it. Hug your pittie closer. And follow @standupforpitsfoundation . Ugh the world is cruel. Ok wah I know I’m a crazy dog lady who I guess now uses Instagram to unload but information is power and we have to share in order for change to happen ok sorry I just love my dog a lot. Byeeeeee.
