18 years ago today, this stunning woman and I walked down the aisle together, when she was 18. We have lived half of her life, together. That’s so amazing to me. She loves Alf reruns and vegetables. I love Hogan’s Heroes reruns and steak. She LOVES the beach. I LOVE the mountains. But we LOVE each other. I am honored to walk this life with her. She is my “chai”, my “life” and I cherish her. I love you, Courtney.

An experienced actor told me once,”If you end up doing this for any amount of time, you will miss many of life’s important moments…” deaths, births, birthdays. How real that is. This was filming episode 2 of #underthedome when (wifey) called to tell me that we were having a boy. My little man turns 7 today. Yet another birthday I have missed, being away and doing what I love. I hope you smile as hard as I do, watching this. I love my little man. I miss him tons. Yesterday we took a 45 minute snowmobile ride North, out of McCall, ID. Found our way to the @secesh.stage.stop (say that five times, fast). Janelle, Mitt and Seth are the proud new owners of this watering hole. Three friends living off the grid, doing what they love, and doing it well in the middle of nowhere. Get the Firehouse Burger (add bacon) seasoned fries, and your IPA of choice to wash it down. Go check them out! There’s something incredible about getting out into places that make you feel small and insignificant. In a “me first” world, it does us good to keep our ego and pride in check. For some it’s the beach, a city, the desert….. for me, it’s the mountains. Took this picture, this morning. What a beautiful portrait of how love evolves with life. He was trying to trim this pine, but age had made it difficult to hold the trimmer. A task that in his youth he could of done standing on one foot, using one hand. SHE stood by, steadying him, holding him up, and helping to hold the trimmer. There is no greater reward than reaching the twilight years of our lives with the one we have loved, by our side. Having fought life’s battles together, weathered all that life has tossed at us. Finding ourselves in a time and a place where we NEED one another, and can’t do it alone. If only we had gotten that message sooner, how much more we could have accomplished together?….. That will be me soon enough. May I be so lucky. I could watch them all day. #love #teamwork
This awesome memory popped up today. Over the course of a career, you inevitably have certain jobs that you look at as “The one that got away”. Flying is a deep passion of mine. History is a deep passion of mine. The @philadelphiaeagles are a….. love/hate of mine (depends if they’re winning or losing. Usually losing, and we love them for it). Everything works out as it should, but would have loved to have seen #panam have a little more legs….
Morning in Toronto. Gyms are closed. 39F outside and doing weighted pull-ups at a park. I stopped for two seconds, and heard the church bells from the church in the distance playing the old hymn “How Great Thou Art”. These are crazy times. Stop. Listen. There is still a lot of hope all around us.
