42 weeks ago today this little monkey arrived after 42 weeks of cooking. 🤰 To celebrate this afternoon Lucy 🌹 started standing unassisted. She has changed our lives immeasurably.

💖 One year of laughing (and crying) with this little person. Nothing has gone to plan for today and nothing went to plan this day last year either… Does ANYTHING about parenting ever go as you imagine it?!! What I have learned – 1)Next year I’ll start building all the toys SEVERAL nights in advance rather than the night before her birthday eve.. (Famous last words). 2) One little laugh and it’s ALL worth it.
A missed bed-time this evening to light a (battery powered) candle in hope that the world will be a kinder place when my daughter is my age – and at the age of 33 will still have the the opportunity to send me a card on Mother’s Day. #reclaimthenight RIP Sarah Everard.
