Today I woke up to news that has made me anxious all morning. My friend, Bob Odenkirk collapsed last night on the set of Better Call Saul. He is in the hospital in Albuquerque and receiving the medical attention he needs but his condition is not known to the public as yet. Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you.

While shooting a movie in Atlanta I’m renting a house in a cool neighborhood to get connected with the city. However a neighbor couple, ”the roaches” have also moved in. I put out a glue trap so that I can send them home… But instead I caught this handsome lad.
Panicked, and feeling awful, I brought him to work and asked Tiesha Haynes, one of our great production assistants, if she could help me out with the lizard while I was being called onto the set.
After Googling “How to free a lizard from a glue trap” (not kidding), Tiesha gently did just that. What a hero. She saved his life, and my guilt. Lazarus, came back from certain doom to be in pretty good shape.
He was eager to get on with his life in a lush, natural habitat. And I learned my lesson – no more glue traps, only natural deterrents for bad neighbors from now on.
Thanks Tiesha. Good luck, Lazarus.

What a year this has been. As always, we have to pick ourselves up and march forward, while also trying to help those around us who are struggling to pick themselves back up. In continuing what we started last year, beginning today through May 5th @doshombres will be donating 100% of the proceeds from online sales to three selected charities: @fiuhospitality Relief Fund, @USBGNCF Foundation and @stylesaves. Raising a glass to all our first responders and folks working hard on the ground. Wishing everyone a better 2021.

Took that beauty out for a spin at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation the other day – could have spent several days there. If you’re near Detroit Michigan, it’s really worth a visit. I’m mourning the loss of another great actor. Olympia Dukakis, seen here laughing – as we did often on The Infiltrator, with Benjamin Bratt, myself, and director Brad Furman. Olympia was such a gifted performer she made it look SO easy, and what a kind spirit. We’ll miss her.

1.5oz Dos Hombres Mezcal
3/4oz Amaro
1oz Cold Brew
1/4oz Demerara Syrup
3 Dashes Chocolate Mole Bitters
Add ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with expressed orange peel. Enjoy!

And the exceptionally talented visual effects team that made those animals look and feel totally real are nominated for an Academy Award!
