Unfortunately…on the 3rd day. someone ran into me while I was snowboarding. Got whiplash, a concussion and some bruised ribs. I’m doing okay just really sore. This stunning woman is my 98 year old great aunt Jean! She is one of my best friends in the whole world. We have weekly phone “dates”, where we gossip and she gives me the best kind of advice that you can only get from someone who really LIVED. She was a dancer and singer in the 1940s and she worked with some of the big names of the time. She is the personification of the saying “dynamite comes in small packages”. Jean loves to remind me that life is long… but it goes by like the blink of an eye. The last year was very lonely for her after losing her husband of 40 years and she started getting confused and depressed a lot more. We didn’t see each other at all to be safe. She got fully vaccinated and she is one of the reasons that I am fully vaccinated(even after having it in February). Yesterday(after getting tested) I finally got to see her!!! And hear more of her advice! I know that we’re all so fed up with COVID, masks, and social distancing… but it’s still here and we still need to do our part to help protect people like my great aunt Jean.
