My Dad tested positive on the 20th and Mom on the 24th.
Dad had a CT score of 20/25 and the infection was severe, his 02 dropped to 60s our doctor, friends and relatives were constantly asking us to put him in a hospital but none were available.
We didn’t wait and we set up a mini ICU and monitored him closely
I took care of them alone, and my brother paid 2 visits a day to administor dad’s injections under the guidance of a doctor on call( he’s done a nursing course as a life skill a few years ago which came to our rescue as we couldnt find any nursimg staff) . We decided to keep my brothers interactions small and not too exposed incase I fell sick too.
The last couple of days have been insane but my Dad and Mom both are getting better and the focus is thier full recovery right now.

Remember covid patients are sensitive and are broken mentally and physically because of the disease, making sure they are in a positive, happy environment is the most important.
A little light music can really help them stay calm.
Also Make sure you have a schedule for them from waking up to going to bed for atleast 2 weeks even post thier recovery and if possible tey making it a regular habit
Fixing food, excercise and sleep schedule will be a major part of the recovery
This is everything that I had to follow and remember while taking care of my parents.
Take care, follow your doctor’s advice and I hope all of you recover soon 🙂
