(Seriously though - Eva retired from professional boxing and is now a highly promising and talented furniture designer. It was an absolute pleasure to help her. Eva’s Whiskey Chair is hand made in Finland.) #whiskeychair #evawahlström #turo1938 📷: @wwwphotoliescom

Jasper Pääkkönen Instagram – Adios guys, see you in Valhalla 🤚🏼
Jasper Pääkkönen Instagram – Early 2020, on the way back from Patagonia we stopped in Santiago De Chile. A beautiful city in the middle of massive protests against inequality. According to Reuters and other reputable sources, Chile is the most unequal of all OECD countries. This has taken hundreds of thousands of people to the streets to protest.

Several hundred people have lost their eyes and dozens have died in the protests that have caught the world’s attention before Chileans vote for the future of their constitution in a yes-or-no vote tomorrow (Sunday). One can only hope that the outcome of the vote will bring peace to the streets and end the violence on all sides. Needless to say, I do not support violence or burning, looting or stealing. The vast majority of protesters are voicing their opinion in a peaceful manner.
Here is some impactful street art I came across. The Museo de la Dignidad has started preserving some of the best of these political art pieces.

“As the polls close like a casket
On truth devoured
A silent play in the shadow of power
A spectacle monopolized
The camera’s eyes
On choice disguised
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?
Yes, a spectacle monopolized
They hold the reins and stole your eyes”
