Our cast is proud of our movie because between all of us (under the warmly watchful eye and support of Denis Villeneuve) we went big (but never impersonal). A film isn’t independent because of some esoteric song that’s hard to find, or it has no budget. It’s indy at heart because it uses art to identify people. “Dune” does that. “Star Wars” did that. It’s bigger than us, yet it is us. So thank you, Italy, and everyone who has embraced our film so far. We appreciate it more than you know.
