This is me now. I’m Italian. I don’t speak the language, but I “speak the language”.

I’ve been on sets where they spend more on shrimp than they do on paying their crew a livable wage. You may or may not know this but most of your favorite tv shows and movies require the crew to work 12-16 hours a day, EVERY DAY (sometimes even longer). If you wrap on Friday night (Saturday morning) at 5am, you still have to be at work on Monday morning at 5am. After sleeping, because you know, human beings, you only have Sunday to spend with your family after working 16 hours a day all week. Sadly divorce is also very very common amongst crew members for this very reason. The budget of the show is always what drives a production, the health of the crew is very rarely considered. Unions exist to protect workers because the bottom line never will. #iasolidarity
