I landed in Mumbai first time on 31st Aug 1996 —- all of 16 years … For a Brief holiday of 3 weeks … which became 3 months … and continues to be more than half of my life in this city … the CITY OF DREAMS ..
the city that showed me that dreams can be fulfilled if one is determined … the city that showered me with love , from neighbours who never get into your life … except when you ask them to … they are always there to help you …
It has shown me friendships last a lifetime , some break after that , a good life , aspirations , love , heart breaks , loneliness and yet a lot of faith that takes you through it all …
It has given me so much more of everything personal and professional than I ever expected ❤️
Thank you Mumbai for making the ordinary girl next door believe that when one has faith , determination and dedication to do something with all honesty … this city stands by us in every way possible ….
The people who have been so kind from the brokers to the grocery guys who I had to pay money to and yet they never asked the ordinary girl… to pay up … ( I did pay them back when I started earning ) ….so much to be grateful for …. Even when I felt at times a bit low and lonely this city stood by me … GOD STOOD BY ME 🙏 …
