Anand and I had been looking for a permanent office space for him in London for some time. From the moment we turned the corner into the subtle yet colourful mews and entered this 3 floor unit, we knew we found that & more.
@nikhilmansata is a multi-hyphenated, multi-talented inspiring soul. He is also one of my closest friends. We’ve both grown up in India — being both proud and grateful for our complex and beautiful heritage. We spent the last year converting the mews into a peaceful yet inspiring sanctuary that reflects our love for South Asian heritage, craftsmanship and art.
A very special thank you to Amrita Jhaveri from @jhavericontemporary for helping me curate art and build my collection. The soul of the studio is because of you! And @chandnimodha_ for always being the best! ❤️

The first time @anandahuja and I stepped foot into our flat it instantly felt like home! It’s a two and a half bedroom space nestled in Notting Hill, and perfect for where we are in our lives at present. Upon seeing the space, we knew right away @rooshadshroff would bring to life a particular vision I had for the space. As always, Rooshad and I very much enjoyed collaborating together. He is highly adept in curating a space tailored to someone’s needs and individual design taste. Colour was a big requirement for me, and furthermore he helped bring to fruition my vision to create a more outdoor feel on the inside, rich in greens, blues and jewel tones, etc. My taste and leanings have become far more eclectic over the years, with a need to incorporate warm textures, fabrics, wallpapers with vintage carpets and chandeliers. I truly desired a delicate balance between modernist art and furniture that strongly mirrors my Indian heritage. Being away from home can be hard at times, and so Rooshad did a marvelous job of marrying British architecture with the Indian aesthetic and richness. While India is my soul, London has my heart.

I was nervous about opening the door to our home and office, but I’m so excited to welcome you to our world.
When we moved here, Anand and I decided very early on that I would take the reins with the design of our home — from hunting through eclectic European flea markets to commissioning master craftspeople back in India, I went all out!
For our first home together, I knew the apartment had to reflect our personalities, where we come from, what we love and who we are. @rooshadshroff brought this vision to life beautifully, combining and juxtaposing Indian and contemporary influences, bespoke and antique, richness and restraint, minimalism and maximalism.
We were so lucky to find a gorgeous Mews house so close to our home, and to be able to convert it into an office space with @nikhilmansata has been such a joy! His highly editorial approach has really elevated the space and we’ve been able to create the perfect setting for the stunning furniture and art we’ve curated (with great help from @jhavericontemporary )!
Thank you so much to our amazing friends, and to AD for documenting our spaces with these stunning images and video. Looking back, I can’t imagine how we made it all happen through a pandemic!
These spaces truly reflect Anand and me, and I see us growing here for years to come.

I’ve followed Pallavi’s work for a while now and I admire the free-spiritedness that she brings to her design.
Her work has an avant garde feel to it that I think makes her clothes stand apart. There is so much to love — free flowing silhouettes, the use of Indian craft in a modern way, the ability to wear her clothes casually or to stun the red carpet — the range is incredible.

If you haven’t heard of Sunira, you’re missing out! I feel these guys are creating a global Indian aesthetic that’s at home both in Bombay or London.
There is a certain edge and elegance to their work that I think is so unique. Plus they REALLY know their textiles. If Boho is your thing, this is your go to.
I loved learning about their recent collection inspired by ‘Pichwai’ paintings which have my heart.
