This is me on my 30th birthday.
My father flew from NY to spend the day with me. He doesn’t know how much it meant to spend the day with him, as I was planning on being alone. I deleted my social media a few weeks ago as a response to the situations in my own life, personal and emotional, that have shifted my perspective on life and love and the business of living. I have been suffering with depression recently. A new battle I’ve never had to endure. Life seems to challenge us in order to provide the tools we need to grow, I’m finding those tools as I navigate the next part of my life and I’m beyond grateful for the constant love and support some of my fans, strangers to me, from all over the world, continue to show years after 13 Reasons Why. I can never say I don’t feel the love. And like the show taught all of us, you never know how you can uplift and impact someone’s life for the positive so thank you for your kindness. I want to continue to entertain people all over the world with stories that grip you and force you to grow the way life does for all of us, whether we are ready for that growth or not. I have felt down and out and have lacked the will to keep getting up and fighting to find the happy, but I haven’t quit. And I’ll keep showing up as long as I have the strength too.
