Conventional farming practices over the past few decades have dramatically reduced nutrient levels in foods. Startling studies show that fruits and vegetables produced thirty years ago have up to eight times more nutrients than food produced today. Due to our pesticide use, deteriorating soil and the industrial food complex, most women now require supplementation as a steadfast way to promote adequate intake of the vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy pregnancy and postpartum.
With thousands of prenatal multivitamin brands and formulas to choose from, it can be difficult to know how to decipher which prenatal will offer the greatest benefits.
Check out the guide I made for @yourzenmama to support your search.
Three thoughtful and high quality brands I want to shout out are:

– @drbenlynch @seeking.health
– @perelelhealth – 20% OFF with code CCMEYER20
Homebirth VBAC Story āØThree years ago @anasiya7 reached out to me about being her doula. She was birthing in a hospital and felt passionately about having an unmedicated birth. When her labor began she rode every surge with strength and determination. At 9cm after laboring unmedicated for 24 hours her son had his own plans on his entrance into the world. With fetal heart rate concerns and a swollen cervix a cesarian birth became the best option for him but not an easy one for her.
Years later when @anasiya7 called me to tell me she was having another baby she knew that this time she wanted to birth at home with the care of a midwife. When her due date rolled around, labor began that evening. She rushed home from the movie theater and called me and @lamidwifeabby. Things were moving fast, she was already pushing. While we raced over to her, her midwife Abby was on FaceTime coaching her husband on how to catch the baby if we werenāt able to make it in time. Fortunately we did! We asked her if she wanted to get into the tub as she had once envisioned. Shortly after she got into the warm bath water her beautiful Elinor was born (on the birthday of her grandmother).
What an honor to get to document and hold the hand of such a strong women through her births both in the OR and the bathtub! Both wildly beautiful and rich with courage.
This year has been so special for me as a doula getting to work with the same mamas a second time. Such a powerful reminder that no two births are ever the same (even with the same person). No two babies are ever the same which is why birth dances to the beat of its own drum. Like life itself, birth is mysterious and without a formula. It is wild.

The @candthemoon Malibu Made Glow Oil is here!!!!!
For years, customers have been reaching out requesting an oil with the same delicious vanilla scent as The Malibu Made Body Scrub. Iām so excited to finally announce the newest addition to the
C & The Moon line and share this new product with you.
Aside from its yummy scent, my favorite thing about the oil is how quickly it absorbed into the skin! I canāt tell you how many clothes, bed sheets and couches I have stained with body oils that never fully absorb. The Glow Oil was made with the girl on the go in mind. It delivers the perfect balance of luminous moisture without the greasiness. It is formulated for both skin and hair with five of my favorite organic botanical oils.
I hope you love it!

āThe first rule of sustainability is to align with natural forces, or at least not try to defy them ā
~ @paulhawken
This week I had the privilege of hearing the legend @paulhawken speak on his new book @regenerationorg which is available TODAY āØ
Paul approaches the conversation around our climate crisis with with a profound reverence for indigenous wisdom and natureās ability to heal itself, to regenerate.
Regeneration is the climate movement that recognizes us as ONE without placing blame on the individual, this is climate movement that turns towards education, inclusivity and empowerment, this is a climate movement that turns away from fear tactics and military terms like āfightāor ācombatā, it doesnāt exist as an empty promise for political leverage. Regeneration is to be aligned with life and all of its beauty.
Iām so excited to dig into this book. I invite you all to join me in asking yourself the questions on the last side to see where we can bring more regeneration into our lives and work.

A year ago, in the midst of the pandemic, expecting parents began reaching out to me expressing feelings of isolation and concern regarding the ever-changing hospital restrictions. With the intention of providing a loving community for my clients, and the best tools for navigating this journey from a place of feeling informed and empowered, Growing Together was born.
This virtual 12-week circle for mothers covers everything from healthy pregnancy practices and nutrition, to childbirth education, comfort measures, postpartum care and breastfeeding preparation. Not only is it an all-in-one, in-depth class for expecting mothers, it is most importantly a safe space to explore all the questions and emotions that come with transitioning into the great unknown.
I am truly in awe of the amazing community of women – from all over the country – that this circle has brought together. The way they show up for themselves, their children and for one another with an open heart and mind gives me so much hope for the future. In a time where everything feels polarizing, there is nothing more important than coming together and holding space for this unique and sacred journey.
The first circle of 2022 starts Janurary 5th and is now open on my website (link in bio) ⨠Limited space available. Feel free to DM with any questions
