Jo Joyner Instagram – Another great bounty. In the darkest, coldest lockdown we had, this new year, the thought of sharing all this goodness with the people I care about- kept me going. Planning my planting, sowing each little seed of hope- hope of a summer where we could all be together- it was the ultimate positive gesture, even when I felt like things were really against us as a family. So it’s great to be here, all those months later – doing exactly what I dreamt of. Taking food away on holiday with friends, making entire dishes from my own grown, taking bags of veg into work for friends….. Eating the rainbow has become more important to me and my family than ever – keeping optimum gut health, keeping strong and strengthening our immune systems. It hasn’t all been perfect- my pumpkins were a failure! I can’t move the cucamelon pot because it’s wrapped itself round the chair (swipe along) and my Padron peppers were baron. This winter was dark for me. And I’m sure for many others. Health is everything. Instead of moaning about the shape and size of our bodies- we need to be damn grateful for the bits that work, feed them well and most of all- keep positive!
