For breast cancer awareness month, I’d like to share more of my own personal journey from my first diagnosis to my second. Is it all pretty? NO but it’s truthful and my hope in sharing is that we all become more educated, more familiar with what cancer looks like. I hope I encourage people to get mammograms, to get regular checkups, to cut thru the fear and face whatever might be in front of you. In 2015 I got diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a mastectomy and did chemo and radiation. I had many nose bleeds from the chemo. Not sure if any of you experienced this. I also was beyond tired. I cheered myself up by putting on funny pajamas that my friend Kristy gave me. Did they actually cheer me up? Yes!! Lol. I looked ridiculous and in that ridiculousness, I was able to laugh at myself. Finding humor helped get me thru what seemed impossible. I hope we all find humor in the impossible. #breastcancerawareness

It’s pretty simple really….. respect one another. Respect different opinions. Show kindness. Humility. Accept you might be wrong. Don’t flaunt being right. Stop trying to cancel every person that has a different opinion. We ALL are better than that. Personally, I love intelligent conversations with people who differ from me. I grow, expand and learn. None of us have all the answers. Considering what’s happening in our world, don’t we all need to find compassion for one another? Sending each and every one of you love.
So thankful for every single day. I wake up feeling blessed that I’m here. That I’m thriving. That I’m surrounded by loved ones that continue to enrich my life and thankful for all of you that share your love and stories with me.

A breast cancer diagnosis isn’t the end of your life…. I am living proof of that. We can thrive and live our lives to the fullest. Taking care of yourself and getting checked, (although it can be scary) is an absolute must. Early detection is the key! I am thrilled to share the special content I directed for @lifetimetv. It was truly an honor to work on this special content and the movie. To be surrounded by such strong, passionate, talented women was and continues to be a highlight for me. Can’t wait for you to see #ListofALifetime, debuting 10/10.

I got to direct special content for @lifetimetv @lifetimemovies for a very special movie List of a Lifetime. For me, being a part of this is very special as the movie is about breast cancer and then to be able to direct these wonderful ladies who do an amazing job in the movie plus direct our actual director for the movie…. Well needless to say it was one of my favorite days. Thank you to all who helped and special shout out to @nililotan (perfect men’s shirt) who supplied us all with clothes for the shoot and @urbanzen And @autumnfederici who I love.
