I made these tricorders and communicator to play Star Trek with my friends when I was 9 years old, and my incredible mom saved them for 48 years. She dug them up this past week, and @WilliamShatner has agreed to take them up into space for me tomorrow. Please don’t judge me for the artwork. Thank you, Bill!

He’s not only the beloved character James T. Kirk who along with Gene Roddenberry and the whole cast and crew of Star Trek inspired millions, but he’s also Bill Shatner. And Bill Shatner is an incredible man.
It feels like we gave each other the gift of space fifty years apart.

@BezosEarthFund announces $3B for nature at the #COP26 Leader’s Summit in Glasgow. These funds will be targeted at a three fold agenda: conservation, restoration, and food systems transformation.

For the fourth year in a row, the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund is making donations to organizations helping families in need across the U.S. These grants will provide support including housing, food, clothing, and other resources to help families get back on their feet. This year’s grants go to 32 groups led by experts who are making a difference in their communities, and the funds will help them further expand their important work. Link in bio.
