In the UK, Black history is reduced to few subjects beyond slavery and oppression; meaning that the many contributions of Black Britons are overlooked and the history of Black people is severely underrepresented in our national curriculum. The government have a responsibility to every young person in this country to ensure that a more inclusive, accurate and honest version of history is taught at school.
