Simone Missick Instagram – My #wcw is dedicated to my #stylist , prayer warrior and friend @robynvictoriaf aka #itsallaboutthedetails Robyn and I met on a photo shoot in 2018, and we have been rocking ever since. From press days to Comic-Cons to red carpets and zoom interviews and photo shoots…I canโ€™t remember all of the things sheโ€™s done over the years to โ€œmake it happenโ€…all the phone calls, emails, late night runs around NYC for pulls, shoe shipments from London, setting me up with jewelers in LA to get diamonds ๐Ÿ’Ž But she is meticulous about the little things: every earring, every ring, every shoe is carefully chosen. She works with what makes me feel good AND look good, and Iโ€™m a tough cookie ๐Ÿช but she does it all with a smile and a positive outlook. Itโ€™s hard to describe how difficult it can be for stylists of color sometimes(the fashion industry is notoriously non-inclusive)…making appointments over the phone and when you show up, the person running the design house sees your face, and gets amnesia, โ€œoh, we donโ€™t have that available anymore…you misunderstood me…who did you talk to?โ€Or having to be creative with your client because sheโ€™s not a size 0, or a household name. This all may sound trite, but when someone like Robyn has the creative eye and vision, itโ€™s tough to see her not always be able to fully realize it because of circumstances beyond her control. But itโ€™s still amazing to see what she does with what sheโ€™s got. Which is a lot of talent and drive.
