Simone Missick Instagram – Every chapter that ends deserves a chance to look back. To remember all of the joy and excitement, anticipation and love that went into taking those first steps. At its start, and to the very end, this show is about people—and it’s the people I will miss the most. This cast, our amazing crew(from our on set team to behind the screen writers, post production, promo, network and studio, each and every person who had a hand in making this show succeed), and our fanmily…our Risers. You took us into your homes every week for 38 hours(or in my dad’s case, you watched several episodes multiple times 😉) and took a journey with us…you rode the “Lolacoaster” 🎢 You expected more from your legal drama, and allowed for humor and humanity to shape the stories we told from week to week. And you loved Lola in all her glory. This character was fierce, powerful, loving, supportive, funny, clumsy, flawed, but most importantly hopeful. And I remain the same that as a result of our hard work on CBS, bringing these faces to this network in this way for the first time in its history(this was the 1st with a Black female lead, a strong female and diverse cast of series regulars and guest stars representing the Latinx, AAPI, and LGBTQ community)we have made a change in the landscape of television. Hopefully the next version of an “All Rise” with a multi cultural, interesting, talented cast will be welcomed by the fans with the same open arms as you all showed us.
With tremendous gratitude to God,
