I am 9 months old today. Can now safely say that have spent more time outside than inside and I’m kinda digging it.
Not sure why my folks get all mushy this day, every month. Isn’t this just natural progression of life or are they just lovestruck.. I’m still figuring this world but wanted to quickly say, thank you for the blessings you are going to send my way… ❤️
P.S – Not sure why my folks are obsessed with my old photos. I guess it would be weird if you knew that they made me wear a sweater in monsoons just cause I looked cute innnit..

Hi. This is Sufi. Today I went on my Dadda’s set for the very first time. It was a surreal feeling as I have actually only heard about him going to shooting. When I went there, everyone was excited to see me and they called me cute. I don’t know why ‘coz when I checked myself in the mirror before leaving home I realised Mumma again made me wear the same white shirt and denims.
Anyway coming back to the set, Dadda was proudly introducing me to everyone. During his shot, everytime the director aunty said ‘Silence’ , I thought I have to say something .. So I tried to make all the sounds I have learnt.
Don’t know why Mumma was continuously taking me to one end of the shooting floor where I was not audible to anyone… I still kept trying my level best to get everyone’s attention.

And today, when his curiosity makes him do 50 things in a minute… I sometimes miss those simple days of him being in a swaddle and getting his unadulterated attention.

Friday was a special day. I met my guruji after almost 2 years. Thank you, pandemic. But what was even more special was that he held my little Sufi for the very first time.
Guruji has been telling me for years ‘Mujhe Nana banaado, Mujhe Nana banaado ‘. And finally ‘ Maine unhe Nana bana hee diya 😃😃’!
When Sufi laid his eyes on Guruji, he almost instantly latched on to him. He sat so comfortable in his lap, and very attentively listened to every word that he said.
Sufi also had his first singing lesson with him where Guruji taught him ‘Sa’ and Sufi in turn showed Guruji all the sounds he can make with his vocal chords 🙂
Sufi’s curious eyes couldn’t get enough of the harmonium.
He kept pressing the keys all day and was so happy that Mumma finally got him his first real musical instrument.
What can be more special than Sufi getting blessings from my Guru who I have spent half my life with.
Guruji now looks forward to coming home more often, not just for me, but also for his grandson, to introduce him to the world of music and share life lessons with him just the way he has has been sharing with his daughter for all these years.
