Our son, Buddy.
Arrived earthside Saturday afternoon. 2.7 kilos of pure and utter magic. 3 weeks early. Perfectly on time
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I bow down to midwives everywhere. Real life angels.
This was our final photo together before we left the hospital.
I’m not sure you’ll find better women on earth than the midwives that took care of all three of us in the days following Buddy’s arrival. In a time where I felt like I had zero dignity or energy left they were there to hold me up and get me going. We went home confident and strong thanks to their guidance.
I tell ya that first night at home we would have given anything to press that button for a cheery dose of help and support to appear in our room minutes later!
Thankyou to all the gals at @princeofwalesprivatehospital (and everywhere else for that matter!!!) for being our angels all week! MIDWIVES RULE!
Never been this tired or this happy in my life.
Thank you to everyone (friends and strangers alike) who have reached out with encouragement, love and help.
We have no idea what we are doing but everyday are learning to trust our instincts that little bit more. Which I’ll admit is hard to do at 3am when he’s cluster fed since midnight, I’m dripping with night sweat and my nipples are on fire. Ha!
This motherhood thing ain’t a walk in the park but hot diggety damn it’s the greatest feeling on the planet.
Also big shoutouts to Adrian for being alongside me every second and Mum for bringing over food everyday.
5 weeks with our Buddy Ray. A friend to all. Our ray of pure sunshine. The prince of Maroubra!
Thanks for making me a mama, kid.
I don’t even mind that everything is covered in milky baby spew and my boobs have leaked on every piece of clothing I own. Or that my hormones are making me feel like a crazy person most nights. Or that me and Adi are just….so…tired. Because this week he smiled at us and hot diggety damn all was forgiven from here to the end x
It took 12.5 weeks but Adrian FINALLY GOT A PHOTO OF ME AND BUDDY WHERE I LOOK LIKE I HAVE SHOWERED AND AM WEARING A BRA
I still don’t understand how influencers manage to make this shit look glamorous.
Happy Sunday!
Our first ever Christmas with sweet Buddy Ray. Grace and peace from our little family to yours!
THE GREAT PRAM REVEAL OF 2021
.
The moment you’ve all been waiting for….we filmed this 10 times and almost got divorced in the process. Directed by @adrianbrine
.
SPOILER: it’s the @uppababy_australia Vista V2 ‘Jake’ (all black was a non negotiable) xoxo
Firsts and lasts.
This was our first date in 2017. We were both nervous and excited and both very much aware of the fact that we were going to end up together forever.
Fast forward to this week and it feels like every time we do anything it might be the last time we do it alone. From here on in we’ll have company.
So grateful for the dates, the holidays, the meals out, the nights in and 4 years of incredible memories as just Ash and Adi. The ultimate team!
11 weeks in and finally feeling like I’m getting into the groove of motherhood. It wasn’t a shoe that fit straight away. At times I felt like this little bubba was a stranger I just couldn’t figure out. But slowly and surely we’ve gotten to know eachother…and every day I feel more and more confident in my ability to give him what he needs. My brilliant little Buddy, I’m so glad to be yours x

‘Cord blood banking…but make it chic!’
My cousin told me about @cellcareaustralia when I was pregnant as she’d used them for her bubbas and immediately I knew this was something I wanted to look into. It’s a way of storing Buddy’s cord blood and tissue in case he needs those precious stem cells later. Of course I’m hoping he never ever will!
You guys had some questions about it so I teamed up with the experts and have answered them in my stories. Modern medicine and science continues to blow me away…we are so so lucky!
This is us with our collection box ready to be wheeled in to meet Buddy. A courier came hours later to collect the ‘goods’ and we were sorted.
Full of gratitude to our medical team and @cellcareaustralia for making this possible x
PS I MISS MY PREGGO BELLY!
Some would say the best ever moments from the show involved artist interviews or trips overseas. Others would argue the best moments were these ones…where I forgot(or ignored the fact) I was on air and went rogue.
Channeling my inner @sarahjessicaparker at #Carriesstoop … yes I even wore HEELS!! Celebrating ‘And Just Like That’ (our new Thursday night ritual on @binge…yes even Adrian) I’m SOOOOO HAPPY my girls are back! If you live in Sydney head in to Pitt st mall and have your own Carrie moment xoxo #ad
Who has been your biggest support as a new or expectant Mama? Tag them below to spread the love and let them know!
When I had the idea for my podcast I approached @modibodi hoping they would partner with me – but unsure that they’d take a chance on a new project. I wanted to make something for women to feel prepared and supported, and it turned out they did too! I’m so thankful for them jumping on board to help bring my dream to life for season one of The Ash London podcast as my very first sponsor.
Speaking of support – my boobs are now a HEALTHY G CUP and their leak proof breastfeeding camis (pictured here) are already a favourite. I like to think that them bringing out this maternity line the same time that I got pregnant was the universe once again looking out for me.
Here’s to those lifting us up, helping make our dreams come alive, and making this journey of motherhood less lonely. x

I am so grateful to the first two guests on The Ash London Podcast which launched this week. Here I am celebrating BOTH of these incredible women by enjoying the fruits of their hard work!
The @koraorganics turmeric brightening and exfoliating mask by @mirandakerr is easily one of my favourite beauty products ever. After chatting with her in episode one I have an even greater appreciation for her hard work, commitment to excellence and her unwavering love for her boys.
And of course Liane Moriarty who’s books have been like a friend to so many of us over the years. I loved Apples Never Fall. Utterly enthralling. She was so funny and so warm. It was easy to forget she’s sold a lazy 20 MILLION BOOKS!
I’ve honestly worked my arse off this week (which is ironic because I still managed to gain 2 kilos). Here’s to hard working women – to ourselves – and to all of those around us!
Got someone in mind you’d LOVE to hear me interview? (Not just mamas!) Reach for the stars and let me know below….we’ve got LOTS of surprises in store for you in season 2 and beyond!
xoxo
The incredible @jamilarizvi joins me today on the podcast with a conversation I WISH I had heard before I came home from the hospital. I LOVE THIS WOMAN! Her honesty, her determination, her resilience. This chat will remind you that when it comes to some of the deep dark moments of parenthood…we are never alone.
Episode 7 of The Ash London Podcast is our now!
Missing Iiko Mazesoba’s famous brothless ramen and can’t get delivery – thanks to my sous-chef (aka my trusty @google #chromebook) I can make it at home…whoop whoop!!!
Enjoy this little insight into the madness that is our life in lockdown, and another example of how this nifty, and powerfully simple piece of tech is bringing a bit of joy!

When your water breaks and your husband is DJing a set in Mykanos. This would ONLY HAPPEN to todays’s guest….the wild and wonderful @connie_mmm . Poddy is live now!
Let’s talk about the B word…nope not babies…nope not Buddy…but BUDGETS, and how the @commbank app has helped me stick to mine

Just a coupla gals bonding over their time on radio…out now on The Ash London podcast
@pjdeejay xx
@jessicamauboy1 channeled her inner Oprah on this week’s podcast! Yes sis! So awesome to hear her journey over the last little while…as she’s learned to put her own needs and desires first.
It’s hard to say no. It’s hard to disappoint people. But sometimes it’s necessary…and it’s a lesson we’ve both learned. Hard? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely x
