Hey it’s my birthday! Yeah, I’m 50. It sounds more surreal than it actually is. Honestly I couldn’t be happier or more appreciative of my wife @lydiahearst who—while 6 months pregnant—assembled an amazing gathering of a handful of wonderful friends, many of whom I hadn’t seen since before the pandemic started. The theme was “Disney Carnival” and it was the best! I had this big goofy grin on my face the entire night. @lydiahearst & I had an incredible time last night at the opening of the @academymuseum! Lots of nice, fun people, a performance by @ladygaga, AND a stunning @hayaomiyazaki / Studio Ghibli exhibit. The museum is super cool and highly recommended if you get a chance to go! Also, we’re about halfway through the pregnancy and you can finally see the behbehhhhh! Lyds just felt the little kiddo doing some kind of interpretative dance for the first time a couple days ago! Best gender reveal EVER?? We had a small gathering of friends the other night to have food, catch up, watch “Halloween Kills”, and share the news on the bebeh…so I had this idea to see if the ultimate Final Girl would announce our First Girl in a video we’d run before the movie. And she did!! Words cannot describe how much we love and appreciate @curtisleejamie for doing this! I was almost apologetic when I asked because I feel bad asking for favors from people and she immediately said, “Chris! Life is meant to be fucking LIVED! We’re gonna do this and it’s gonna be fun!” Well, it turned out even better than we could have imagined. Thank you, Jamie!!! YOU ARE THE BEST! Special thanks to @seanjameshair for helping facilitate the video (and for setting me up with my wife to begin with). We are OVER THE MOON about our future daughter, who according to @lydiahearst has been competing in some kind of rodeo in her belly every night for the last couple of weeks in preparation for her February debut. 🎃👶🏻❤️
I still really can’t believe it. Bob was the sweetest, kindest soul and this is utterly heartbreaking. He dedicated the last 30 years of his life to raising funds and awareness to finding a cure for the disease that took his sister’s life in 1994, Scleroderma. I know he would appreciate it if you would consider making a donation in his memory to the Scleroderma Research Foundation: @srfcure. I love you, Bobby. I hate that you’re gone…💔
@lydiahearst & I went to @screamfestla last night to watch the premiere of her movie American Boogeywoman (streaming everywhere now!) which was the first time we’ve been to a movie theater in like 2 years! I was afraid to give a big toothy smile because we had been shooting pics in the theater right before this where we were shoveling handfuls of popcorn into our mouths and I had what can only be described as a holiday tree’s worth of popcorn string in my teeth. Had I opened my mouth, you’d have seen CHUNKS of popped corn that were wedged between my gums to the extent that it would have looked like I was doing a bit. (Note: my dad always carried toothpicks with him and now I finally get it.) We had such a blast, Lydia looked amazing and was FANTASTIC in the movie. Also, I’m digging the threads! We were AUTUMNAL AF. Excited to be out with my amazing pregnant wife during our favorite time of year! 🎃 📸: @acefotopro for @gettyimages
