Geffri Maya Instagram – The first pic is my birthday party last year right before the pandemic. I’m so used to having parties…being surrounded by so much energy & love. 2020, our world & the people in it were forever changed. I’ve always had a hard time with solitude; being alone was undesirable but necessary. But a gift from 2020 was perspective; hopefully for us all. For me, it was a shift in how to receive the silence in & around me. A shift in how to honor the growth I’ve experienced in what could have been considered one of the worst years of my life. 2021, my birthday weekend was met with an impromptu trip (@signedjaymarie thank you for your spontaneity) surrounded by so much love & light to keep me full. My moments of solitude were rewarding. My birthday was beautiful because of gratitude. Period. We have to choose it. This new normal…the beauty of life is still here but how we choose to experience it is where the journey begins. Thank you for all of the birthday love. Drink your water. Wear your mask. Stay safe 🤍
