Lisa Ray Instagram – My third or possibly fourth read of this spellbinding lamentation by Louise Gluck, named after a small crater lake in southern Italy regarded by the ancient Romans as the gateway to the underworld. ‘Winter will end, spring will return. The small pestering breezes that I so loved, the idiot yellow flowers- Spring will return, a dream based on a falsehood: that the dead return.’
Lisa Ray Instagram – At the end of this year rimmed with sadness, I find myself practising radical gratitude so hard. The fact I managed to write a book, release it and the generosity of readers in reading and sharing still – almost two years later- makes my heart judder. #closetothebone is just the beginning of my writing path, as I reach inside myself and for the page at the same time.
