Amazing to finally be touring again. And in QLD! Thanks to the generous Junkees fans in Caloundra last night for gifting me some sweeeeeet alternatives to my backstage “wellness” platter x
So apparently Dave Grohl is a big fan of my rules – who knew?! Had a great chat with him (he didn’t say much) and signed a few copies of my new book @dymocksprahran
What I really missed during covid: Sitting backstage postshow having delicious sandwiches with my comedy buddies. Having such a good time @malthousetheatre and thankyou Benny @balasanga3183 – for the top notch sandwiches . Living the carb filled dream.
So great to be back on stage with my buddies @malthousetheatre – if you want to come along – call the malthouse box office and check for promoter holds that we release each day. And if you bought a ticket 18 months ago…don’t forget to use it! Glenny Robbins hosts Tues- Sat and Madam Pang (pictured) plays the role of interlocutor on Sundays. Good times!
Look! It’s all of my favourites on a huge grand finale! Marty, Ed, Pang AND Pacquola? Yes it’s true, Celia and I are finally getting to do the show together on the last HYBPA of the year. Tonight 8.40 on ten. (That’s me in the middle dressed as mother of the bride.)😻
Not so scenic view. We were en route to Toowoomba to do shows at the beautiful Empire theatre but have had to turn back. Show tonight has been postponed – please check with the theatre for details. We plan to try again tomorrow, flood waters and weather permitting. I will post an update in the morning. As you’ve probably guessed by now, I have not been able to make it into Toowoomba. I was so looking forward to these gigs. @empire_theatre is one of the sweetest venues in the land AND the volunteers bake you fresh biscuits. Really sorry to have to postpone yet again. Honestly, after all the covid rescheduling, we were finally back on the road – and now this!! God damn you nature!! In lieu of doing a show tonight, I might just stand out the front of my place and bang a saucepan to show my appreciation for the SES and all of the emergency service workers up there. Stay safe and dry and keep off the roads please! And know that I will get there eventually – that’s both a threat and a promise. Xx

Today on The Junkees we remember the late great Nabisco Chips Ahoy and go in search of a replacement. No fancy “choc chunks” or “double plus 40% extra chips – just an old school chocolate chip biscuit to have with milk. And in a Junkees first, one of these is so bad, I am forced to spit it out. #worstever
