Besides covid, everything was perfect this year. I got to work on five exciting projects! There were days when I was shooting both days & nights. And exhausting as it was, I’ve loved every moment of this journey.
Here’s hoping for even bigger and better assignments in the coming years.

Lata Mangeshkar has been with me since I was born. As a child my dad kept playing her songs & said let it fall on your ears. When I grew up her voice was my companion when I trained and ran a marathon. When I started acting her songs got me into whatever mood I wanted to get into before a scene. Even 92 years seem inadequate.. wish she was with us forever, like her songs.

A few years ago, on a rainy afternoon, @tahirakashyap came home for a narration of Sharmaji Ki Beti. I loved it instantly! Even days after we met, the story left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling. Tahira was self-assured, sweet, simple, and knew exactly what she wanted (I’m glad she wanted me). Producerji @atulkasbekar and @tanuj.garg @sameern were convinced that I fit the part. It all felt too good to be true. But like films, our lives also have these strange twists and turns. And out of nowhere, they began hitting us.
As everyone knows, Tahira was unwell. It was shocking, scary, and heart-breaking. Obviously, the film went on hold. The warrior that she is, we were ready to roll in no time! But life had other plans. Covid happened and the world shut down.
Through all the ups and downs, Tahira fought. For herself. For all of us. Filmi heroes toh bahut hai, she’s a real-life one. I’m so glad our paths crossed and we’ve worked on this film together.
Can’t wait for all of you to watch it.
