Man, absolutely LOVED working with our background cast on @theugrailroadtv. There was a bottle episode called GENESIS that we never got to make. These men played the blacksmiths working alongside Ridgeway Senior in THE GREAT SPIRIT. There’s a line from them to the minors trapped underground in that “written but never filmed” GENESIS episode. Working iron. Smuggling iron underground. Slowly but surely providing the tools to construct this network as Ridgeway comes of age. These two actors had a VIBE, so… I handed them the words, an off the cuff moment that, if we could find 5 minutes, simply shot, we’d grab while setting up for other things. Repost from @albertomielgo • WHY sharing “The Windshield Wiper” for free: Obvious reason: to give the film a much wider life and exposure. Many of you had been asking about the Windshield Wiper for years already since you first heard I was working on it ( already 7 years ago ). I found emails, comments or threats on reddit. You don’t know how encouraging it has been to read from your quotes such as: “I´ve been looking for this film everywhere, is it done?” ” How can I watch it ?” … “WIll it be available in my country?…” Clearly one very important reason why this film is finished is because you´ve been asking for it while we were still working on it. From a production point of view , and as a co-producer, I’m probably shooting myself on my foot right now, but let’s be honest this is and has always been a passionate project, with no budget whatsoever, this is not a thriller, not a full fantasy film, its indeed an impossible utopia in animation: The Non-commercial venture. And finding the right distribution is indeed tricky ( as we were expecting, anyways) . Done in sparetimes-overtimes-undertimes, with my friend Leo Sanchez the film was produced and managed by both our studios -PINKMANTV- and @leosanchezstudio ( check them ) and with a significant amount of artists, collaborators and friends that liked the project or liked my work or shared the values or the message of the film and wanted to be part of it no matter what. We all worked with the same goal in mind. ( please keep in mind that our team is entirely PRO. An amazing crew with very cool high profiles. Check credits as I don’t want to miss anybody on my mentioning here . I did a specific post with all our names if you search a few posts below ). Therefore I want to share this film with everyone for free because it is, in essence, Everyone’s and we wish it to be watched ,shared and to reach far. Whatever it triggers on you, this is a film about emotions. Thank you for reading this far! I love ANIMATION as an Art Form beyond ANYTHING else. Thanks for your support. Love you all A LOT.
