Here’s a letter I wrote to myself a couple years ago, 💕 “This is from February 21 2020. I am typing this after leaving the naacp awards for the 5th time and not winning again. I know i’m writing this to my future self and I know i’m gonna read this out loud during my speech. future miles, I hope you keep the same motivation that I have right now. and I can’t wait to see what your gonna do next. i’m proud of my future self cause I know big things are ahead.” I ended up realizing that the best part about winning is proving yourself right, rather than proving others wrong.
