We can’t get enough of Stan’s reaction to hearing this Kookaburra during his trip to Australia in 2012. 🙂

December 28, 2022 is the day Stan would have turned 100! As huge Stan fans ourselves, we figured why not celebrate The Man all year long? With that, we’ll be sharing memories, peeks behind the scenes, giveaways, and more on the 28th of each month leading up to #StanLee100, and of course, we want Stan’s fans to join us – starting today!
What was Stan like behind the scenes? Well, for one, he could easily wax poetic about a lot of things, including the ‘F’ word – yes, that one. Click the link in our latest story to hear The Man go off in this amusing animation directed by @aronfromm featuring behind the scenes audio from a past recording session with Stan.
(Not fit for young fans!)

It might be hard to tell, but this photo of Stan and Sir Paul McCartney was indeed taken at the Super Bowl – Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014, to be exact. We wonder if “Magneto and Titanium Man” came up in conversation?

Stan’s curiosity led him to constantly explore new territory, and he had a fervent interest in examining the struggle of good vs. evil. Stan incorporated both those points into a unique story he wrote a few years ago called The Devil’s Quintet. Today, we celebrate the release of The Devil’s Quintet audiobook AND novel – turn your sound on to hear an excerpt of the audiobook read by Charles Everett!
Stan collaborated early on in the process with New York Times best-selling author @jbonansinga on this bold new superhero series that considers questions deeper and darker than most of Stan’s work. The story follows a diverse special ops unit who are unexpectedly offered a bargain by the Devil after their top-secret mission goes south. Basically, he’ll save their lives – in exchange for giving them unearthly powers to do his evil bidding. They accept, but the team does things their own way, all while trying not to let their hellish new abilities corrupt them.
Sound intriguing? Stan made sure it was! Visit our stories for links to dive into The Devil’s Quintet in both audio and book form!
