Not only did I have the BEST boss ever, she was friends with some of the best people EVER!! I was blessed to count Georgia Engel as one of my dearest friends as well. These two ladies were so kind, so caring, so funny, so loving… and that bear is pretty great too ❤️❤️
I mentioned in a previous post that after Betty’s beloved golden retriever, Pontiac, passed away she didn’t want to bring another pet into her home because she didn’t want to eventually leave someone behind. But, that didn’t stop her from spending lots of time cuddling fur babies. Sophie, my 2nd dog, was the official office mascot for quite awhile. You’ll see how tiring a day can be when you spend it being kissed by Betty White… ❤️🐶

Happy Monday! It doesn’t get much sweeter than Betty bottle feeding a baby gerenuk ❤️. It didn’t matter how shy or timid or fierce and imposing an animal was. They were all drawn to Betty. They sensed her kindness. She really had a soul connection to animals and it was beautiful to witness.
Sophie grew up and continued to be “mascot” even when the pandemic hit and Betty was staying home and staying safe.

Happy Monday! Happiness is… a snuggly puppy.
Betty truly loved anything “with a leg on each corner.” Sweetcheeks was no exception. For her 98th birthday our friends from Wildlife Learning Center brought some critters to our office for her to enjoy.
In an earlier post I mentioned that we stayed very entertained during the pandemic by some ducks who took up residence in Betty’s pool. They were aptly named “Betty” and “Allen”. And I’m happy to report that they have returned… this morning! A perfect way to start Valentine’s Day ❤️❤️
Many people have asked if Betty really had a room full of stuffed animals. The answer is she had several! Here is a sampling of some of the friends who took up residence in our office over the years.

During the pandemic, I also ended up with two kittens who were rescued from the streets of East LA. The first, Buster, visited Betty a few times. Because it was early in the pandemic I don’t have a great photo because I was standing six feet away and in a doorway. But – they really didn’t need my company. They were quite happy with each other. Including pic of Buster with Molly (his “girlfriend”) for fun.
