The funnel spider web is so strong that the material is used to make bullet proof vests. In Australia these spiders are harvested to make these vests.
The white lichen growing on the rocks are a living proof of clean air. These are also used as a condiment in Indian cooking. The lichen grows only in non-polluted regions.

This #IWD2022 i celebrate these extraordinary women! Two empowered women who are empowering millions with their advocacy, their work, their empathy.
Jyoti Pande Lavakare is an independent journalist, author and clean air evangelist. She is the co-founder of @careforair.india which works in bringing awareness of the harms of air pollution and advocates for clean air for all. She writes fiction and non-fiction and her first book, a personalised non-fiction narrative on the human cost of air pollution is called “Breathing Here Is Injurious To Your Health”.
Garvita Gulhati is an engineering graduate, classical dancer and founder of ‘Why Waste’. She and her team of ‘waterpreneurs’ have reached out to over 500,000 restaurants across India, prevented over 10million litres of water from being wasted, and impacted 6million lives. Garvita was the youngest lister on the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia Pacific list of Social Entrepreneurs and is the first and only Indian to be awarded a Wonder Grant from the Hsawn Mendes Foundation.
