Last yearβs Holi we were in Canada. We couldnβt find powdered colour so @dipikablacklist suggested we use strawberry jam instead. The results were pretty apocalyptic but form the sweetest memory (pun not intendedβ¦no actually I have the worst sense of humour so poor pun play is always intentional)
Happy Holi!
I suppose there are times when images, more than captions, say it all.
Clearly you were missed all this time @farahkhanali β€οΈ
Finally we meet @monicaferrari90 and great to forge new friendships @goldbasket @dimdeep
Darling @fizaali fellow Arian, you are a sensitive and rare light.
Thank you for providing the chic grounds for a reunion @nammos.dubai

If you appreciate elevated and singular jewellery design head to @damasjewellery in Dubai Mall to see @farahkhanatelier newest collection.

A day exploring art in #Sharjah with the lovely Ambereen of @khamsa.ig and @white_turban that surpassed all expectations. We started @sharjahhow to see the diverse and superbly curated βGateway to the Metaverseβ exhibit presented by @morrow_collective in collaboration with the Global Art Exhibition (GAE)
After lunch, we ambled our way through surprising and layered exhibitions @sharjahart finally ending in a magical urban garden filled with felines sunning themselves like they were on a beach in Capri.
Iβll post more later on encounters with deeply emotive, psychoactive material and researched practises. But for now, hereβs a small distillation – call it an art apothecary – of of a soul nourishing day.

Absorbing. Honest. Each painting and page leaves itβs unique scent, taste and imprint.
Oh, to journal with such presence and elegance.
My journal looks like a customer complaint book, tossed around the snacks section of a gas station.

Delhi friends and foes – I am envious of your impending opportunity to attend the launch of this excellent book that takes the reader on a meandering journey through Udaipur and a typical day through @waswoxwaswo collaborations with co-creators who collectively form the βKharkhanaβ which means factory in Hindi but is linked to the historical painting workshops of Persia. A unique insight into a unique art practise. Whatβs not to love? Iβm a fan!
@bhavz15 has promised me a copy here in Dubai πππ€£
You can also order on @amazonbooksin and ask your local indie bookstore ππΌ

#REPOST @smritikiran with @get__repost__app This is Kawya Mandavkar.
The lady cab driver who dropped me home today from the #MumbaiInternationalAirport.
Please request for women drivers if you take pre-paid cabs from the airport. They are hidden away in a zone called Zone 0 (ZERO) (Amaze).
The zone for women drivers is not printed on your cab voucher (it is always otherwise printed on your voucher so that you can go to the right zone to get into your cab) and no information is provided to you that Zone Zero (where women drivers are assigned to park their cabs) is not ahead of Zone 1 but behind it. You will have to do a minor treasure hunt to get to it.
Women drivers donβt have the critical mass to form their own union so they are governed by the general taxi drivers union. They are frequently and regularly heckled and not given enough fares. The pre-paid counter especially says βcabs driven by women driverβ (just put them on to regular fare allotment. Why distinguish like this in allotting fares? The general publicβs bias as far as women drivers go (another very toxic narrative) is not what you should be protecting or pandering to), their location information at the terminal is low key obscured. I understand the need for them to have their own zone (thank you for providing that) but that zone can be one of the five main and visible cab zones (1-5) at the airport.
A lot of women dropout because of all the difficulties they face. This is really sad because this is pretty much what happens across industries.
I request and urge @csmia_official and the concerned authorities to look into this and ensure that women are not discriminated against. They need the backing of the authorities in being considered equals and their protection to keep working safely till the world at large is ready to see them this way.
